dsmBUZZ: announcing the launch of the locally owned guide in central iowa

Fall is in the air and for me that signals a move to hunker down and regenerate my energies. It's been a great week filled with new ideas, additional terrific resources, and tons of information to utilize.

This post is meant to send out the word that dsmBUZZ is beginning the process of creating the quintessential guide to what is locally owned in central Iowa.

If such a project resonates for you and your business I encourage you to contact me and share your thoughts on how you could collaborate, sponsor, or offer additional tools to make this guide awesome.

For now, we will focus on listing merchants who have made the effort to become part of the network and highlight them in these pages. We will spend the greater part of 2008 creating the guide that will be available for download as a pdf from the site.

As the tipping point in this exciting publication is reached, we are fully prepared to have copies available via print and accessible in venues where people can peruse and learn about the cool businesses that are locally owned.

Such a guide may make a great house warming present for new arrivals to the community for example and perhaps a piece located in some hotel rooms. Again, we are open to ideas and collaboration.
