#22 strike up a conversation with Mike Sansone
Learn the art of conversation. You might think that you already know your product, your industry, your business, and that talking about it with others is an easy and natural extension. But, and this is a big BUT, do you really?
I know I've had my misconceptions about so many things since I've started as an entreprepneur and one of them was understanding what it means to actually talk with customers. Somehow people get labeled as a "customer" in my brain and all empathy was tossed out the window. Things like, "I don't want to be sold to" or "I want to trust you" or "I want to be heard" have sometimes gotten lost in my earnest effort to relay my message.
If you truly want to connect with those you serve--or hope to serve, you'll want to take a listen to Mike Sansone as he talks about the conversation that actually matters to the customer.

What a great interview with Mike! Even though I have spent hours with him, I picked up a few tips in your podcast. Thanks!
And I couldn't believe my ears when he put my blog in the same context as Drew McLellan's!
